“Rock the District” – A Benefit Concert for CCUSD

News from the Creek, Volume 1 – Melissa Nelson, Freshman, Cactus Shadows High School, is putting together “Rock the District.” This concert will benefit our district’s music programs. Melissa has secured local teen musicians to perform at El Pedregal on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Admission is $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults with all donations and ticket sales going to the district. For more information go to www.cavecreekteens.com or call 480-231-7228. A huge thank you to Melissa for all the work she has put into organizing this benefit concert. Come and enjoy an evening of family friendly contemporary music.

Step Up Program Raises $17,575

News from the Creek, Volume 1 – Thanks to the generosity of 61 of our parents and community members, we have collected $17,575 through this program. We are happy to report that we will be able to use $13K of designated and undesignated donations to fund 1/3 of a counselor’s salary to serve our elementary students. Click here to obtain the form.
